Drag-and-drop itinerary planning for the lazy.

Inspired by an actual pen & paper itinerary planning method, the scope was to create a web app emulating that process.

finding the similarities

Itinerary planning is unique to every individual. In order to create a product that the masses will use, I seek out the similarities among these methods. Based on the data collected, I plotted the user journey that was able to fit the requirements.

getting inspired from real world

Using the concept of manila folders, I proposed a 2-step method for itinerary planning; each step on different layers. The images and data were scraped from travel review sites and the option to 'heart' them provides a quick way to zone in on their interests.

auto sorting via location

These 'hearts' are then sorted and grouped automatically by their distance to the train station/landmark. This provides a quick overview on which attractions are near each other and can easily be covered in a day. Moving forward, one can plan their days according to each group – one group of attractions equates to a day.
